Many times you see titles for articles that talk about the best of something. This is always a good idea because people like to be associated with the best. When it comes to starting an affiliate marketing business most people fail to do so because they do not pick the right products to sell.

In this article we will look at 3 mistakes you can make when it comes to working with your affiliate marketing business. Not so much specific businesses, but more general ideas to avoid when you first get started.

1. Starting a portal website is not the best way to get started in affiliate marketing. A portal website sells many different types of products as opposed to specializing in just one. Cars would be an example of a broad theme and a narrow theme would be car parts. And even more narrow theme would be Cadillac car parts.

The mistake that people make is they try to sell to many different things, as opposed to specializing when they first start out in their affiliate marketing business.

2. Another mistake people make is they do not choose a market that can be profitable for them. The best way to make money with affiliate marketing is to identify a problem, determine that people are seeking ways to solve that problem, and then help them do it.

An example of that would be how to stop sweating. This is a problem that many people face, and you could sell an information product that helps them deal with that. Clickbank offers e-books that you can sell and earn commissions on. You could find a stop sweating ebook to sell from them.

3. One of the most common affiliate marketing business mistakes is using the replicated website that comes from the merchant. Many times this is bad for you because the sales copy of the affiliate website is poor. Another reason you do not want to do that is you are not differentiating yourself from the thousands of other affiliates using the exact same website.

One way to sell more products in affiliate marketing is to try and be different. Creating your own website and putting your personal testimonial on it is a much better way to make money selling their products.

These are three of the worst mistakes you can make with your affiliate marketing business. If you want to be successful you must create a narrow theme website, solve people's problems, and do it with your own website. Only then will you have a chance to make money selling other people's products.

US work visas ! ! ! ! !

United States citizen may use an immigrant visa to enter the United States as a lawful permanent resident. Upon entry into the United States with an immigrants US work visa, a lawful permanent resident is entitled to receive a green card. There are many different ways to obtain an immigrant visa or green card. A non- United States citizen can obtain a green card through:

· Employer sponsorship.

· Investments in the United States.

· Family sponsorship.

· Self-sponsorship as a person of extraordinary ability in business, athletics, arts, education or scientific research.

· Visa lottery.

· Political asylum.

· Amnesty programs (most amnesty programs are now completed and if you have not yet filed for it, you are ineligible to do so now);

· Registry (proving continuous residence in the United States since 1972)

· Applications for Cancellation of Removal in Deportation.

Each of the above paths to obtain a green card requires the filing of different and complex applications and visa petitions with the United States Visa Department of Homeland Security.

There is also no reason not to file more than one "green card application" or visa petition at the same time to obtain your lawful permanent residence. For example, a non- United States citizen can be sponsored simultaneously by an Employer, a permanent resident parent and can simultaneously submit an application for the visa lottery. This same non-United States citizen can obtain his or her green card from which ever case is completed first.

The reason different cases take different time periods to complete is because the number of people allowed to enter the United States each year with an Immigrant Visa is limited under a quota system. Some cases have a long waiting list under the quota system, such as sponsorships of brothers and sisters of United States citizens and other cases have very little wait at all, such as self sponsorship based on extraordinary ability. A person who is being sponsored for a green card is called a "beneficiary". A beneficiary's place in line under the quota system is determined by priority dates. A priority date is the date in which a beneficiary's application is first received by the immigration service or labor department.

Your business success is dependent on three critical factors - your energy, your drive and skill. In its infancy, your business mirrors you in every way. Let's see how each affects your business.

Your energy

In early stages your business resembles a wheelbarrow. It moves only when you put in some effort and stops the minute you do. When you choose not to go to work, your business suffers. It may sound painfully obvious but a casual observation of businesses shows this is not the case. People tend to view business as a separate entity, from where all cash flow with minimum effort (compared to a 9-5). This cannot be true at this point because few people know you or trust you enough to want to deal with you. Your good intentions alone cannot guarantee you business success. You have to earn it.

Drive

Drive comes from the vision you see into the future or the troubles you want to escape in the present. Drive is the single most determinant of how fast you will reach your goal. You cannot succeed without it. Drive not only propels you forward but also attracts the right people who will make you want to see you succeed. Drive also shows in the quality of work. Who will not want to buy from someone who is enthusiastic and seems to know what he's doing. He is more likely to be the person will go beyond the call of duty to get things done. Compare this to someone who seems content, indifferent, and unmotivated

Skills

Running a business calls for more skill than just being an employee. As an employee, your technical and sometimes inter-personal skills are what you use most. In contract, a business requires you to good with finances, human relations, marketing and production. If you do not have these, you must find someone who has, and let him do his job. If you do not, you become an expensive impediment to your enterprise. You can get away with a lot as an employee but when you are the face of your business, sooner or later your true colors come out. You also have to take cold look at what you know about your business and lose no time learning all there is to your products, even if your will not be the one doing some of the actual work. This aspect is crucial as it enable you to see things from the employee point of view and from the customer side and leading to better decisions.

If you are thinking of starting an Internet marketing business and making money online, here are 7 simple secrets I have distilled from successful gurus in the business.

1. Follow A Proven System And Mentor

If you have never been to Paris but would like to, the easiest and quickest way is to follow someone who has been there and ask him to take you there. Similarly, if your goal is to make money online and be successful, then find someone who is already successful online and ask him to show how. And find a mentor who has documented his success into a proven system that you can follow. This one step alone can and will shortcut your path to success.

2. Love What You Do

What gets you excited? What keeps you going? More importantly, what are you passionate about? The answers to these questions will provide you with vital energy to keep you going in your business. When your business is about what you love to do, you will find an enormous storehouse of creative energy you can put to work on your business.

3. Focus On One Thing At A Time

Remember that science experiment you did in school with a magnifying glass and sunlight? It illustrates the powerful principle of focused energy. That act of focusing the sun's energy with that magnifying glass could really set a leaf on fire! This is the same thing you should do in your business - focus on doing one thing at a time. Trust me, it's really easy to get distracted online. Your job as a serious entrepreneur is to stay focused. If you have found a proven system and mentor, stick with it until it produces results.

4. Understand The Business

You don't have to be an expert in everything but you do need to understand the basics of your business. Make it a point to understand the component parts of your business but do not aim to master every single detail. As a rule of thumb, work on your strengths and outsource the rest.

5. Build Up A Strong Foundation

There are core skills that are important in your Internet marketing business. These usually include building a relationship with your list and driving targeted traffic to your business offer. Make it a commitment from the start to learn these areas well and build a strong foundation in them. You will reap huge dividends in the long term.

6. Think Like A Marketer

This is your main job as an entrepreneur - think like a marketer. What solutions does my market need? How can I provide the greatest value to my market? How do I motivate my market to buy? How do I get my existing buyers to buy even more? These are some of the questions you should always be asking yourself.

7. Form A Mastermind

Things do get tough and you really don't want to work on your business by your lonesome self. Form your own mastermind group. They will help hold you accountable to your goals; help sharpen and refine your ideas. Start one today.

So, there you have it. Seven simple but powerful secrets to your success in Internet marketing. I wish you success.

All predictions for the U.S. housing market have been positive for the year ahead, building on the recovery in 2012, so why worry about wholesaling in a down market in 2013?

Few doubt that we will have a stellar year for housing in 2013. A few markets may not have hit bottom yet, but around 80% of major U.S. metros saw dramatic improvements in 2012 and this is expected to continue in the New Year.

Housing prices and values have been heading up, inventory down, marketing times have been slashed and more than $1 trillion has been added to home equity in the last 12 months. Many have even forecast home prices to rise another 10-20% in 2013, making it an incredible year for real estate investing.

However, the height the real estate rebound will hit in the next year will certainly be somewhat dependent on the broader economy. This is where the real threat lays and why real estate investors still need to be prepared for wholesaling in a down market, at least in some areas.

The fiscal cliff, although certainly over-hyped in the media brings many threats from budget cuts to higher unemployment and higher taxes which could crush spending, economic growth and see a significant amount of flight capital and talent in the air, even if only inter-state and not out of the U.S.

The revelation that 2012 holiday sales reverted back to the depths of 2008 is a sobering sign that not all is well, and at least that Americans are being much more cautious about their spending. Another tough financial year for America will certainly have an impact on the housing market. This doesn't necessarily mean preparing for wholesaling in a down market all over the country but it does mean being ready for it in select markets and in some cases not the markets investors are expecting.

On the bright side there will certainly be more distressed properties and foreclosures available for flipping than even the world's richest billionaire Carlos Slim could take on by himself. There are literally still hundreds of billions in non-performing loans in the pipeline which will make great deals for investors over the next 12 months.

Even in the hardest hit areas where home values continue to decline there will be great profits for wholesaling in a down market providing investors know how to market themselves and insist on sufficient spreads.

However, most important is anticipating what trends will be seen in shifting demand for types of housing and the areas which are most in demand.

Technology will have a much larger influence than most imagine and a tough retail year will spur innovation and adoption of tech faster to cope with it.
